Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sano mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by the operator of Sano (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Sano helps you track pet care information such as medications, vaccinations, meals, walks, and reminders. The Service is for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.

2. Not veterinary or medical advice

Sano is not a veterinary service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information in the app is for your convenience only. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for decisions about your pet’s health. Do not rely on the Service in an emergency.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate account information and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Your content

You may enter pet profiles, schedules, notes, and photos (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display User Content solely to operate and improve the Service (for example, syncing data, showing thumbnails, or sending reminders you configure).

You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.

5. Family sharing

If you invite others to a family group, you control who can access shared pet data. You are responsible for invitations you send and for removing members when appropriate.

6. Subscriptions (Sano Plus)

Some features require a paid subscription (“Sano Plus”). Purchases are processed by Apple or Google (not us directly). Subscription terms, pricing, renewal, and cancellation are governed by the applicable app store and are shown at purchase.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel in your device’s App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
• Refunds are handled by the app store according to its policies.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with other users or attempt unauthorized access
• Use the Service for spam, fraud, or illegal activity
• Misrepresent your identity or your relationship to a pet or household

8. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. We may update these Terms; we will post the revised date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT REMINDERS WILL ALWAYS BE DELIVERED ON TIME.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR SANO PLUS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms, except where prohibited by law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, except where mandatory local consumer laws provide otherwise. Disputes should first be raised with us at support@sano.app.
